Who Are We?
It was never really about building houses.
For much of my career, I lived in the world of advertising.
It was an incredible chapter of my life—working in London, Paris, and New York, collaborating with creative people, building brands, and learning that great design isn't about how something looks. It's about how people experience it.
But while advertising was my profession, building was always my passion.
For years, I spent my weekends and evenings buying old houses, stripping them back to their bones, and rebuilding them. It wasn't a side hustle. It was simply what I loved doing.
Then COVID changed everything.
Like many people, I found myself asking what I wanted the next chapter of my life to be. The answer was surprisingly simple.
I left the advertising world behind and committed myself to building full time in Upstate New York.
My first project happened almost by accident.
A guest staying in one of my vacation homes asked if he could buy it. I smiled and said, "I'm not selling this one—but I'll build you one."
We began with the idea of a simple A-frame.
But as we talked—really talked—about how he wanted to live, entertain, wake up in the morning, and spend time with family and friends, the design evolved. What began as a single A-frame became a double A-frame because that was the home his life called for.
That project taught me something I carry into every build.
The best homes aren't created by following a rigid set of plans.
They're discovered.
They evolve through conversation, trust, curiosity, and the willingness to keep asking one simple question:
How do you live?

Because everyone lives differently.
Some people cook every night. Others entertain every weekend. Some dream of quiet mornings with a cup of coffee overlooking the woods. Others want a home filled with children, friends, music, and laughter.
A great home doesn't tell you how to live.
It supports the life you already want.
That's why every project I take on begins with listening.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to build homes and commercial spaces for world-renowned actors, musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and families who value thoughtful design, exceptional craftsmanship, and complete discretion. I've also had the privilege of working with many LGBTQ+ couples and families, and I believe everyone deserves to feel respected, heard, and completely comfortable throughout the building process.
A home is deeply personal.
The experience of creating it should be too.
That belief was shaped not only by the projects I've built—but by the projects I lived through as a client.
Before becoming a builder, I hired contractors for my own renovations.
Like so many homeowners, I experienced the frustration of being left out of important decisions. I wasn't always told where the budget stood. Work sometimes moved ahead without conversations that should have happened first. I'd walk into a room and discover something had been built differently than I imagined. Sometimes the biggest surprise came at the end, when unexpected costs appeared that no one had prepared me for.
Those experiences changed the way I wanted to build.
I realized that many people aren't afraid of renovating.
They're afraid of the renovation process.
They're afraid of losing control.
So I built my company around a simple idea:
The homeowner should never feel like a spectator in their own project.
Every project is run with complete transparency.
I work on a straightforward time-and-materials basis with a clearly defined markup. My clients see receipts, understand where their money is going, and stay involved in the decisions that matter. Construction is never completely predictable, but surprises should lead to conversations—not frustration.
I don't believe my job is to make decisions because they're easier for me.
I believe my job is to guide you, advise you honestly, communicate openly, and build a home that reflects who you are.
Will I always be the least expensive builder?
Probably not.
And that's okay.
Because what I'm offering isn't simply construction.
I'm offering an experience built on trust.
I'm offering craftsmanship without ego.
I'm offering a collaborative process where you'll always know what's happening, why it's happening, and have a voice in the decisions that shape your home.
When we're finished, I don't want you to simply admire the craftsmanship.
I want you to walk through your front door and think:
"This feels like us."
Because long after the invoices are forgotten, what remains is the life you live inside those walls.
That's what I'm really building.
